O&M/TRS/Renewable Energy Corporation (REC) The FBR-B Second Generation Reactor Project was an
upgraded design of an existing pilot plant that would be, after a year of
R&D, the model for a new multi-million dollar facility. The Filter
Wash Modification Project was a revamp of an existing reactor filter wash
system. The process was upgraded to allow for ease of use for
operations, to improve system efficiency, to increase caustic capacity and to
be more maintenance friendly. The project was exclusively contract
management with a blend of union and non-union contractors. The total
of both projects was valued at $17 million. ·
Duties included review and response to RFI's,
(Contractor’s Request For Information), review of
contractor’s progress with respect to schedule and direct contractors to
adjust manpower and equipment to stay focused on critical path activities. ·
Reviewed daily work with respect to drawings and
specifications for quality control. ·
Worked closely with the design engineering team to resolve
interference problems and get modifications approved quickly; provided minor
design changes for civil and structural interferences, as needed, to allow
work to proceed without delays. ·
